The annual concert started 10 years ago when Larry Ladin, Rehab Admissions Coordinator for Ovation Sarah Chudnow and organizer of the event, wanted to find a way for residents to perform for others and get the larger community involved.
“Our 10th annual Interfaith Choral Concert was very successful in bringing together 128 singers from among six churches, three synagogues, the Milwaukee Jewish Community Chorale, and the Sarah Chudnow Glee Club,” says Ladin. “This unique event is a great way to listen to a variety of religious and ethnic music, meet new people, and learn about different religions and philosophies.”
This year’s event featured musicians from Grace Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Crossroads Presbyterian Church, North Shore Congregational Church, Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun, Congregation Shalom, Milwaukee Jewish Community Chorale, Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid, Tabernacle Community Baptist, Church, St. Boniface Episcopal Church and the Sarah Chudnow Glee Club. This event is open to the public and always draws a large crowd of family and friends.
