Ovation  gathers with peers to discuss industry challenges and solutions.

On September 26 a team from Ovation Communities participated in the Historic Eastside Progressive Tour, organized by Stacie Opahle of Caring Senior Service of Milwaukee. The recurring event is designed to bring together professionals from across the senior care industry to educate, network and inform. The September event included stops at Eastcastle Place, Wisconsin Club (sponsored by St. Rita’s Square, Capri Communities), and Ovation Jewish Home.

“Ovation Communities takes a holistic, community approach to how we provide care and we’re only as strong as our partners,” said Michelle Putz, Chief Operating Officer. “Events like this one are an important way to come together and stay connected.”

Nearly 50 industry professionals toured the three locations and shared stories and best practices, along with recent program successes. The group wrapped up the tour at Ovation Jewish Home where they heard from a guest speaker, Lisa Thomson from Pathway Health, who presented strategies for recruiting and retaining talent unique to the healthcare workforce. “Our team walked away with some very valuable suggestions and tactics that we’re already implementing in our day-to-day work,” said Putz. “In addition to continued learning and networking, it’s important to
invite our peers to get a first-hand look at what we’re doing and take the opportunity to shine a spotlight on Ovation in the community.”
