Nita Corré

It is with profound sadness that the Jewish Home and Care Center Foundation regrets to inform you that Nita Corré, our former President and forever inspirational matriarch, passed away at the Jewish Home this morning. Nita was first and foremost a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a local and internationally respected and admired leader, mentor and invaluable friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She came to our community as a social worker who then transformed, through her passion and tireless quest for learning, into the Jewish Home’s President. She led our development of new services and expansion into independent and assisted living communities, all influenced by her vision of providing comfort, meaning, independence and dignity to our older adults. Foreseeing the need for financial security, she established our Foundation and single-handedly developing resources, inspired by her passion and vision, which continue to provide for a quality Jewish environment for hundreds of older adults, every year, who otherwise may not be able to afford such care.

Funeral services were held Sunday May 27, 2018, at 1:00 PM in the Kohl Family Synagogue at Ovation Jewish Home located at 1414 N Prospect Ave., Milwaukee. Following internment at Agudas Achim Chabad Cemetery, 3690 E. College Ave, Cudahy, Family returned to
Ovation Jewish Home’s Rubenstein Pavilion for a 3:30 Shiva (meal of condolence).

May her memory forever be a blessing.
