Giving Opportunities
A donation to the Jewish Home & Care Center Foundation is an investment in our community; make an impact by donating. Join one of our giving societies, establish or contribute to one of our many named endowment funds, or make a donation in a loved one’s honor or memory.
- Circle of Life – Donations of $1,800 or more support supplemental programming at Chai Point. Donor names are displayed in the Chai Point foyer. The donor board was designed by local artist Suzanne Derzon.
- Friends of Ovation Communities – Annual donations of $25 and above. Provides funds for supplemental events such as musical programs, theme meals, and special parties. Also, The Friends ensures future care for those seeking services in our three communities, regardless of their ability to pay. Friends donors are recognized in the Encore! publication and receive Ovation-branded swag.
- Gifts in Kind – An item voluntarily transferred to the Jewish Home & Care Center Foundation without charge or consideration, including artwork, that is thought to have a significant value.
- Gifts of Stock – When gifting stock, you keep your cash assets and gain a charitable tax deduction for the stock’s full fair market value, provided you have owned it for over a year.
- Golden Alliance – Created to strengthen programming at our communities, this annual, unrestricted membership program includes five giving levels starting at $500 up to $10,000. A tribute wall at Jewish Home displays members’ names.
- Hyman Kastrul Synagogue Endowment Fund – Donations of $1,000 up to $10,000 help perpetuate the pastoral and ritual services of Jewish Home. Donor names are displayed outside of the Kohl Family Synagogue. The donor wall was designed by local artist Tony Spolar.
- Matching Gifts – Make a gift go twice as far. Participate in an employer’s matching gift program. Contact your employer for more information.
- Memorial Donations – Honor the memory of a loved one through a gift designated to any of our funds.
- Mezuzah Campaign – For more than a century, Ovation Communities has applied the values of Jewish heritage to the foundation of the outstanding care we give residents. Kavod, which is Hebrew for “Honor and Respect,” drives our passion for serving our loved ones and providing them with, independence, community, and well-being.
- Named Endowment Funds – Individuals and families can establish an endowment fund with a minimum of $25,000. Over the years, these funds have sponsored a number of special programs that enhance our residents’ lives. Endowment funds enable your family’s name to live on in a meaningful way while helping Ovation Communities fulfill its mission to the community.
- Naming Opportunities – Throughout our communities, discover opportunities to honor or remember a loved one, including endowing a department, sponsoring a program, purchasing a plaque, and many others.
- Nita L. Corré Dor L’Dor Corridor – Donations of $360 up to $1,800 are recognized in the Nita L. Corré Dor L’Dor Corridor at Jewish Home, designed by local artist, Suzanne Derzon. Plaques display a personalized message, typically in honor or in memory of a loved one, friend, or coworker.
- Pillars of Creation Society – Through a bequest or an endowed gift of $25,000 or more, donor names are displayed among stained glass pillars. The pillars were designed by local artist Suzanne Derzon and represent the six days of creation.
- Planned Giving – Bequests by will or trust, life insurance assignment, retirement plan assets, and gifts of appreciated securities or property are some ways of fulfilling estate plan objectives while benefiting the Jewish Home & Care Center Foundation.
- Yartzheit Plaques – Purchase a Yartzheit plaque through a donation to the Hyman Kastrul Synagogue Fund to memorialize a loved one. Donors receive a notification on the anniversary (Yartzheit) of their loved one’s passing. Yartzheit plaques
are displayed in the Kohl Family Synagogue of Jewish Home. - Yizkor Book Donations – Through a gift to the Hyman Kastrul Synagogue Fund, honoring the memory of a loved one, names are displayed in our annual Yizkor Book and read during services on Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Passover, and Shavuot.
